Racing for One Cure

One Cure is all about speeding up new and promising treatments for all cancer patients – pets and people – which is why we’re thrilled to team up with the motorsports industry to raise awareness of our ground-breaking work in comparative oncology.  Non-traditional?  You bet, but we love working with folks who also like to speed toward a goal. With the help of our partners, we’re hoping to spread the word that cancer occurs naturally in pets at a similar rate to people. And because we know cancer is cancer, what we learn by treating our patients at the Flint Animal Cancer Center holds promise for people with cancer.

Because we are in the business of curing cancer, we owe our partnership and gratitude to generous benefactors who saw racing as a great vehicle (pun intended) to raise public awareness about One Cure.

“I am beyond excited to partner with One Cure and bring more focus and energy to discovering ways to help find a cure to save the lives of our loved ones, including our pets, who we consider family members.”

Graham Rahal is a professional IndyCar driver and has been One Cure partner since 2018.

Born the son of racing legend Bobby Rahal, Graham has had speed running through his veins since January 4, 1989. A young Graham grew up traveling racetrack to racetrack and fell in love with the cockpit the first time he took the seat. It was at age 11 that he began racing karts and four years later earned a scholarship to race in the Formula BMW series. He’s been racing ever since.

Graham & Courtney Rahal Foundation

We also owe a great deal of thanks to the Graham & Courtney Rahal Foundation.

The Graham & Courtney Rahal Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization led by IndyCar driver Graham Rahal and his wife, former NHRA Funny Car driver Courtney Force Rahal. Rahal initiated the Foundation in 2009 to carry on the philanthropic efforts of his former team owner, the late actor Paul Newman.

Each year, the foundation raises awareness and money for the foundation’s two charitable partners: Turns For Troops / SoldierStrong USA and the Flint Animal Cancer Center’s One Cure program.

Together, we will speed up a cure!

We are grateful for past and present relationships with professional race drivers including:

Indy Car:

Jay Howard
Graham Rahal

NASCAR:

Danica Patrick
Clint Bowyer
Chase Briscoe
Cole Custer

Motorcycle Racing:
