Dr. Steve Dow’s Experimental Immunotherapy research program investigates tumor immune responses and develops new cancer immunotherapies. His research interests involve the discovery and development of new immunotherapies and vaccines for cancer and bacterial infections, and in the use of stem cell therapy for immune modulation.
- Cancer immunotherapy and immune modulation for common cancers of dogs and cats
- Clinical Immunology (autoimmune diseases, immune deficiency disorders)
- Stem cell therapy for immune modulation and antimicrobial activity in dogs and cats
- Infectious diseases, including chronic bacterial and fungal infections
About Dr. Dow
Dr. Dow received his D.V.M. degree from the University of Georgia and completed a residency in small animal internal medicine at Colorado State University. He then completed a Ph.D. program in Comparative Pathology in the laboratory of Ed Hoover at CSU. He joined the faculty of the Department of Clinical Sciences at CSU in 2002. He is currently a professor of immunology in the Department of Clinical Sciences and the director of the Center for Immune and Regenerative Medicine.
