Survivors - Your Best Friends Journey with Cancer

Fort Collins - Meet Lilly, a beautiful Great Pyrenees, the cover dog for the book, Survivors - Your Best Friends Journey with Cancer which is due to be released in September. Follow the book on Facebook.
Lilly is a bone cancer survivor who was treated at the CSU Animal Cancer Center and is now cancer free.
In December 2009, at the age of three, she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in her left hind leg. Her best treatment option was an amputation followed by six rounds of carboplatin chemotherapy. She has also survived two lung lobe torsions which were both treated with surgery at CSU and were unrelated to her cancer.
She has been a trooper through her many diagnostic tests and treatments and always has a "smile" on her face. Lilly is an amazing dog, truly a survivor!
